2012 Opening Plenary

On Monday morning, August 13, the Conference begins with an inspiring color guard presentation and choir. You will then be welcomed by leadership from our major Training Partners and the President/CEO of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center.

Jennifer Schuett will provide the Keynote Address.

Jennifer Schuett is a proud victim advocate and survivor of an attack that nearly silenced her at eight years old, in August of 1990. For the last twenty-two years, Jennifer has been using her voice to share her story publicly and in seeking justice. She has most recently been featured on America's Most Wanted, the Today Show, Investigation Discovery and the Bio channel; and travels across the country to present her case study at various law enforcement conferences. Jennifer is the co-recipient of TAASA's 2011 "Champions for Social Change" Award and was recently named a 2012 "Community Champion" of Galveston County, Texas, and continues to give hope to victims through her website. Jennifer will present her case as a workshop describing not only the attack, but how her offender was identified years later.

You will also hear a State of the Industry Update from Joe Sullivan, Chief Security Officer of Facebook.
We are pleased to again welcome Facebook as our Platinum sponsor!
