I can’t find a hard copy registration form. What should I do?

Registration for this year’s conference is all on-line, regardless of method of payment. If you are using a check or purchase order, you will have the option to select this payment method and enter either the P.O. or check # you will be using.

If you do not have a check # yet, you can simply enter in a “0” and we will change it manually upon receipt of payment.

How do I get a receipt or invoice for my conference registration?

Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Included in this e-mail is a link to view or modify your registration as well as payment information. This can be printed out and used as an invoice for pending payments or as a receipt for completed payments.

 

How can I make a change to my registration information (name, address, etc.)?

Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Included in this e-mail is a link to view or modify your registration as well as payment information. Follow the link to return to your conference registration. Enter your confirmation number (provided in the email) to access your registration.  At this point, you will be able to make any edits or modifications to your registration that are necessary.

 

I need to cancel my registration, will I get a refund?

The following schedule will determine refund rates for conference cancellations:

        Cancellation prior to July 12th: Full refund

        Cancellation between the dates of July 12th – July 31st: Full refund minus a $75 administrative fee

        Cancellation August 1st or later: No refund

 

How do I cancel my registration for the conference?

You may return to the conference registration site to cancel your registration.  Using the link you received in your email confirmation, return to the site and enter your confirmation number and proceed to “My Registration”.  If you have any difficulties, please contact a conference staff member at conference@dcac.org. Include the name of the attendee to be cancelled as well as a mailing/billing address for refunds (see above question for refund policy).

 

How do I make a substitution?

If you are making a substitution for an attendee who is registered as a guest in part of a group, you may use the link provided in the confirmation e-mail to modify this registration. Change only the name of the individual who will no longer be attending and add the new registrant.

If the attendee is an individual attendee, or is the main name for a group registration, please contact the conference planning team in order to make a substitution. Be sure to include the name of the individual who will no longer be attending as well as the name of the new registrant.

 

Are there scholarships available for this year’s conference?

We have a limited number of conference scholarships, all of which have been allocated at this time. To be added to the waiting list, please send your name and contact information to conference@dcac.org.

Continous transportation will be provided from the host hotel, Hyatt Regency at Reunion, to our offsite hotels.

 

Do I need to sign-up for workshops?

There is not a sign-up for workshops at the conference. It is first-come, first-served for each class. Your input on preferred classes is appreciated though. Please use the link below to complete a survey of workshop interest to help us assign workshops to rooms.

How can I register for the computer labs?

You may register for labs after you register for the conference, provided you are paying with a credit card or Purchase Order.  Only paid attendees (or Purchase Order attendees) may register for labs.  After June 23, those who register for the conference will receive an email with instructions on how to access the separate lab registration process. 

Limited seating is available, so please register soon!  Please do not register for labs unless you are certain you will attend.  If at the time the conference starts you find you cannot attend a lab (or would like to see if there are any cancellations), please check /update the roster outside of the lab doors.  Labs are located at the top of the escalator at the Hyatt in the suite of rooms named Cotton Bowl, Sanger, Moreno, Pryor, and Reverchon.

 

Who is eligible for a conference discount?

The following individuals or groups are eligible for conference discounts:

        Groups of 5+ (if you have 10 or more in your group, please contact us for discount codes)

Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force members – current law enforcement task force members only

Child Protective Services (CPS) professionals – those currently employed by the Department of Family and Protective Services or state equivalent

Active duty military

 

Can I bring a guest to the Wednesday night social event?

Conference attendees are welcome to attend the Wednesday evening social event, “Everything Is Bigger In Texas” free of charge. Guests can attend for an additional fee. Guest tickets can be purchased on-site at the Conference cashier’s desk or online during the registration process

 

Will I be able to receive continuing education credit at the conference?

Continuing Education credit is being applied for from the following organizations:

        Texas State Board of Professional Counselors

        National Board of Certified Counselors

        Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners

        National Association of Social Workers

        Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners

        State Bar of Texas

        Association for Play Therapy

        TCLEOSE – credit provided for Texas peace officers who provide their TCLEOSE-issued ID # (must sign            in each day)

 

Will my meals be provided at the conference?

BREAKFAST -

A continental breakfast will be provided each day of the conference.

LUNCH -

Lunch will not be served for conference attendees. Please check your conference notebook (received on-site) for lunchtime options at our host hotel or in downtown Dallas.

DINNER -

Monday:

There will be a Welcome Reception for all conference attendees, speakers and guests on Monday evening where light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Tuesday:
An off-site party, hosted by and held at the Dallas Police Association, will provide free pizza for any conference attendee who wishes to attend. Look for transportation options on-site during the conference.

Wednesday:
A full meal will be provided on Wednesday evening at the all-conference social event, held at the Hyatt Hotel.

 

What time does the conference start each day?

MONDAY –

Registration and Coffee – 7:00 a.m.

Opening Plenary – 8:15 a.m.

1st Workshop – 10:00 a.m.

TUESDAY thru THURSDAY –

Workshops begin at 8:00 a.m.

 

What time is the conference over on Thursday?

The conference will conclude at 12:00 noon on Thursday afternoon.

 

When and where do I check-in for the Conference?

When you arrive at the Conference, please be sure to check-in to receive your conference materials, nametag and additional information. Registration/check-in will be in Landmark Circle at the Hyatt Hotel.

If you arrive in Dallas on Sunday and are able to do so, please try to pick up conference materials at our early check-in from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Otherwise, check-in will be from 7:00 – 8:15 a.m. on Monday morning.

 

How much is cab fare from the airport to downtown Dallas?

One-way cab fare from DFW airport to downtown Dallas is approximately $47.

You may also want to consider making a reservation with SuperShuttle for transportation from either DFW or Dallas Love Field airports.
